LOGO DESIGN & BRAND IDENTITY

Logo design
in Durham Region.

A good logo should feel like your business and work wherever people meet it. We bring logo design, typography, colour and everyday applications together so your identity feels connected from your website to your business cards.

GOOD DESIGN. USEFUL DETAILS.

A logo is the start. The whole picture matters.

Bread & Butter is an independent creative agency based in Oshawa, working with businesses across Durham Region, Ontario and Canada. Starting something new? Ready to move beyond a logo your business has outgrown? You’ll work directly with Adam and Kevin to explore what makes your business different and turn it into a visual identity with a clear point of view.

Your logo may need to fit a small social profile, a printed brochure or the side of a vehicle. We consider those uses while developing the identity, including how the mark reads at different sizes, how it works in one colour and how the typography and palette support it.

The scope can include a primary logo, supporting variations, colour and type choices, and practical brand guidelines. Print, signage and other applications can be planned around what you actually need. We’ll agree on the deliverables before the work begins.

OUR APPROACH

From a first idea to a working identity.

01

Get to know your business.

We start with your audience, your offer and the impression you want to make. Bring your current materials, what you like and what no longer feels right.

02

Find a direction.

We explore a visual approach that gives the business its own character. The conversation covers the reasoning behind the design, not just a choice of colours.

03

Refine the details.

We develop the selected direction through agreed feedback and consider how it works in the applications that matter to you.

04

Put it to work.

We prepare the agreed files and guidance, and can carry the identity into print, digital and your website so everything feels part of the same business.

Planning a new business alongside your new identity? These independent Durham Region resources can help with the broader business questions.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Good questions. Clear answers.

Can you refresh an existing logo?

Yes. Share what you have and what needs to change. We can discuss whether a careful refresh or a new identity better suits the business, while considering anything your customers already recognise.

Do I need a full brand identity or just a logo?

That depends on where you’ll use it. A logo may be the immediate need, while colours, typography and guidelines help keep future materials consistent. We’ll discuss the useful scope for your situation.

What files will I receive?

We’ll specify the file formats and logo variations in the proposal. Tell us if you need artwork for a printer, sign maker, website or embroidery supplier so those requirements can be considered.

How much does logo design cost, and how long does it take?

The scope, applications and feedback stages affect both. Get in touch with your goals and any deadline; we’ll discuss the work and provide a proposal with the agreed deliverables and schedule.

Can you design the website and printed materials too?

Yes. Our services include graphic design and website design and development, so a new identity can be considered alongside the materials and digital experience your business needs.

Do I need to visit an office?

No. We work with clients online, so you can collaborate with us from Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering, Clarington or elsewhere. Contact us to discuss how you’d like to work together.
